Sierra Rayne

This article generally lets Schindler "off the hook", and ascribes much of the hype to the media. This is not an accurate representation of history. One only need look as far as photo-ops that Schindler participates in (see, e.g., http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2010/10/15/f-david-schindler.html) to see he is not an objective academic scientist (which is what he is/was being paid to be at the University of Alberta).

There are a number of scientific (and ethical) problems in some of Schindler's works, which Krause does not address. Reader's can view some critiques at the following sites (more will be forthcoming as other related documents are scrutinized):

One must wonder why industry is letting Schindler off the hook so easy on this one. Schindler's reputation deserves to be in tatters over his behavior on these issues, and the fact he is an officer of the Order of Canada and the Alberta Order of Excellence is an embarassment to our country and an insult to truly objective science and ethical behavior in science.
