Mayor Gregor Robertson Opening The Tides Renewal Center

If a picture tells a thousand words, this 32 second video of Mayor Gregor Robertson opening the Tides Renewal Center tells quite a story.

Cutting the ribbon with Mayor Robertson are Carol Newell and Pamela Chalout, on the left, and Martha Burton and Joel Solomon, on the far right.  Ms. Newell, Ms. Chalout, Ms. Burton and Mr. Joel Solomon are staff at Renewal Partners, an "investsment firm," and all four are or have been simultaneously paid staff of the Endswell Foundation.  Ms. Burton is the treasurer of Vision Vancouver, Mayor Robertson's political party.

U.S. tax returns show that between 2004 and 2009, the Endswell Foundation - a registered charity - paid $2.3 million to staff at Renewal Partners - including Ms. Newell, Ms. Chalout, Ms. Burton and Mr. Solomon. The president of Renewal Partners is Mr. Solomon.
