- In 2002, the Wilburforce Foundation ("Wilburforce") paid Tides USA $20,000 for Forest Futures “To develop conservation-based legal and policy framework to devolve control over land in BC’s central coast to First Nations and communities in the interest of long-term habitat protection.” In that same year, Wilburforce also paid Training Resources for the Environmental Copmmunity (TREC) a grant for $325,000. The purpose of this grant was “To provide Wilburforce grantees and other conservation groups with the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully carry out their missions and to effectively manage change.” Wilburforce grants to TREC total of $7,666,700 between 2000 and 2009.
- In 2003, Wilburforce paid Tides USA $29,000 for the Dogwood Initiative “To work with First Nations to increase leverage to expand conservation and local control of land in the Great Bear Rainforest.”
- In 2004, Wilburforce paid Tides USA $20,000 to get the Dogwood Initiative “to work with First Nations to increase leverage to expand conservation and local control of land in the Great Bear Rainforest.”
- In 2009, Wilburforce paid Tides USA $25,000 for the Dogwood Initiative. The title of this project was "Expanding the Reach - Coastal Oil Tankers Campaign."
