As shown below, one of the companies that has been paid professional and consulting fees by the Endswell Foundation, is Ernst & Young.
In 2008, the amount paid to Ernst & Young was $CAN 50,387. That seems like a lot to me, especially because that year, and in previous years, Endswell hadn't made a single grant to any organization other than Tides Canada. Since 2003, 99 percent of Endswell's grants went to Tides Canada, U.S. tax return show.
The treasurer of Endswell, the treasurer for Tides Canada Foundation and the chair/treasurer of Tides Canada Initiatives is the same person: James Morrisey, a senior accountant at Ernst & Young.
The amount paid per year ranged from $US 23,949 to $US 41,146, except for 1998 when Endswell seems to have had little or financial activity. The total amount paid by Endswell to Ernst & Young, was $US 380,878, 1997-2009, according to U.S. tax returns.
